L'Hotel Paris : A boutique hotel in the heart of Saint Germain

|| L'Hotel Paris: A boutique hotel in the middle of the beautiful Saint Germain ||

L'hotel in Paris, an ancient old hotel located in an astonishing area in Paris, the city of 'l'amour'. It's surrounded by culture, art and great restaurants and bars. When we stayed here it was a truly romantic getaway for two. We have experienced excellent service, amazing breakfast, cocktails and of course terrific macarons. It was our third time together in Paris, and our second time celebrating summer in Paris. Both seasons have a charm, but I am truly a fan of those blissful summer nights in Paris and staying in L'hotel definitely added an even better experience. We both are very enthusiast about this hotel and here's why!

The concept

Did you know that L'hotel was the world's first boutique hotel? Me neither, but the more reason to read more about this stunning place and the more reasons to perhaps be just as excited as us to visit the hotel one day. With its bohemian interior, mixed with classical features, you won't get bored, as every room has a different division and just a slightly different style. The interior is designed by Jacques Garcia and there are in total 20 bedrooms with each unique and luxurious features to admire. Their wellknown cocktail bar is a pleasure to have a drink or two. They have signature cocktails with a twist and exquisite taste, especially their pear cocktail. It has a very unique, sweet flavour that fits right into the atmosphere of a beautiful summer eve. They also host live jazz nights at this same bar, to enjoy for those who like to have an intimite experience. When staying in this hotel, in this particular area, one must wander around and explore the culture and art of Paris.

The rooms

We have had a magnificent collaboration with L'Hotel Paris and were very eager about the interior of the rooms. In total we have stayed in three different rooms. On the day of our arrival we were welcomed in the following room: 'L'Apartment'. This is a room of 45m2 and has an interior inspired by 'the Cardinal's robe', together with red velvet drapes and the walls are covered in silk fabric. Not to forget the large balcony, as can be seen in the picture above, overlooking the beautiful Saint Germain area. When you have chance to stay in this room, it will be one to remember!

Impressions of 'L'Apartment':

The second day we checked into a new room and this one was my personal favorite. Mainly, because of its style and colors. This is the 'Chic room' and is in total 35m2. The style of the room is completely in honour of famous characters such as, Marco Polo, Mistinguett, Mata Hard and Reine Hortense. The Chic room has a nice division and beautiful classical features. The curtains are heavy and beautifully finished with the finest details.

Impressions of 'the Chic room':

The third day we slept in the famous 'Oscar Wilde suite'. Wow, that was a room that both of us didn't expect to be that big and beautiful! There's a beautiful bathroom in this particular room, with mirrors surrounded by lights. When you are getting ready, you will feel like a true star because of these lights! Also, the details on the wall are incredible to look at, and of course I can not forget to mention the big terrace. Sleeping in this room, includes: having a large terrace to enjoy the sun all for your self.

The food

After we woke up from sleeping on our fist night in L'hotel Paris, we had a lovely morning breakfast in our room., on the balcony of the L'apartment. We enjoyed our beautiful Parisian view, with clear blue skies and a gorgeous sunrise. It definitely felt like a romantic summer in Paris. Nothing is a lie, when you hear someone talking about how romantic Paris feels during the summer season.

The breakfast of L'hotel is outstanding! It was everything we could have asked for. It's so lovely, to have breakfast in the dining area they have. There's a buffet with multiple types of fruits, pastries, jams and cheeses. For those who love meat, you can order freshly baked bacon, sausages and chicken filet. Their avocado toast is très magnefique!

When you stay in L'hotel Paris you have to make sure to at least try one of their cocktails. Whether this is a mocktail or cocktail, you won't be dissapointed. Since the service of Gaële Lefevre and Florian is outstanding. Also, we haven't visited the 'Wilde Lounge' during autumn yet, but we have a strong feeling that this will definitely have a warm and cozy atmosphere where you are going to want to spend a bit more time than just an hour. Especially, when there are jazz evenings hosted!

The services

When we arrived at L'hotel in Paris, we got a warm welcome from the receptionist and had a quick talk with Stephane. It was lovely to arrive at such a gorgeous hotel and being able to speak directly to the manager of the hotel. Everyone knew about our visit, which is always a very nice way to get around in a hotel during our stay. When staff is informed about us taking photos and videos everything goes so smoothly. We were able to ask everything and they were able to address every additional aspect they want to highlight of the hotel. Besides this, somehow we got a quick chat with a loyal customer who travels from the USA to Paris and books a stay each time here, whenever she visits Paris. She told us that she was very fond about the service of the staff. However, during the earlier days there were more women working in L'hotel. Perhaps during 2023 there's room to hire some powerful women to share their expertises and skills here.

Overall, the staff of L'hotel Paris is very hospitable. If you are in need of any information about the surroundings of the hotel, restaurant recommendations or any other questions there was always someone who could assist you. The Location

As previously mentioned L'Hotel Paris can be found in the beautiful area of Saint Germain. One of the nicest things (in our opinion) is that the Louvre is just a 15, or a quick 10, minutes walk away. We highly recommend to just wander around the area and you will come across so many beautiful cafés and restaurants. Also, did you know that the famous Instagram Café de Flore is just a few steps away from here? It's only a 5 minute walk.

Here are a few of our favourite things to see or do near by L'hotel L'Hotel Paris:

  • Pont Neuf 500 m

  • Musée d'Orsay 850 m

  • Eiffeltower 3KM

  • Arc de Triomphe 3,6KM

Closest public transport stations:

  • Metro station: Saint Germain de Prés 300m

  • Metro station: Mabillon 400m

Every week I am sharing a new blogpost from a different destination or beautiful stay, worth to visit. Did you like reading this post? Don't forget to subscribe to stay in touch for news.
