BE Agafay, be there to relax and get showered in so many luxurious ways in the middle of a stone desert next to Marrakech. BE Agafay is the ideal romantic place for two, to make new memories and get blown away by all the facilities. Picture this: Waking up in the middle of Agafay desert, right between sandy hills and blues skies. The sun is kissing your skin while you are waking up with a fresh warm cup of coffee. Your body, mind and soul are now at ease and telling you to completely immerse into relaxation.

Should I not forget to mention: Watching the stars through the glass windows with your loved one(s)

An experience to never forget and here's why!

This was our second time visiting the magical Agafay desert. We partnered up with the brand new luxurious stay: BE Agafay. It has opened just a few months ago and is now open to welcome everyone who wants to have an unforgettable experience in the middle of Agafay desert. Glamping has never felt so good, with all these great facilities. If you're like us and don't have tons of time to book a 2 night stay in the Sahara desert, want to experience a luxurious glamping desert camp: This will be a perfect solution to still have an experience in a (stone) desert.

Two days at BE Agafay

Day 1

The skies were clear blue, the sun was shining and it was about 21 degrees in the beginning of February. That's a dream temperature for the month of February. Especially for us, coming from a 0 degress temperature in Amsterdam. We had just travelled from another camp in Agafay and we closed our trip with spending the last days in BE. During our previous trip we started in Agafay desert, but we recommend ending your trip in Agafay desert and head back to the airport of Marrakech from there. Why? Because you will return home feeling completely at ease.

As soon as we arrived our mouths were wide open. We kept saying: Wow! Because, this is the exact feeling you will get when you arrive at BE Agafay. The restaurant was the first thing we saw and it looked gorgeous! The glass doors and windows were magnificent to see, in combination with black steel frames. We got welcomed with fresh Moroccan tea and Moroccan cookies, while enjoying the beautiful view of the camp and stone hills of Agafay. We got two of the sweetest dogs that acompanied us. Ivy is a true angel and so are the two elderly dogs. As a dog person, this was so lovely to see. The dogs were freely walking around. No worries, you will not even notice they are here since they barely bark and are busy with themselves and their baby puppies!

As soon as we were finished with our tea, Fedoua showed us around the entire camp and its facilities. We checked into our room and couldn't believe that everything we saw online, looks exactly the same in real life, even better I would say. The quality of the glass doors and windows is an aspect that seperates the beaurtiful camp of the other camps in Agafay. The room we stayed in was the 'TAURUS'. It has beautiful wooden walls and doors in the middle of the glass tent. The terracotta accents add so much warmth to the room. The beautiful Pam pas grass sticks, Moroccan vases and furniture are details that make the room even more gorgeous. See the details of the room for yourself below.

Rooms of the yurt tent are: 320 EUR per night incl. breakfast and dinner

Lunch pass, 2 course menu: 40 EUR

Pool pass incl. Lunch menu: 50 EUR

Dinner pass, 3 course menu: 55 EUR

Sunset apéro and dinner at restaurant: 75 EUR

Even though it feels like time isn't passing when you are at BE Agafay, unfortunately it is. So, after capturing the beautiful room and its surroundings we grabbed a quick lunch. We went for a light lunch which contained of a 'Mezze platter'. This involved 5 different Moroccan mini salads and snacks. The hummus had an incredible taste together with the Baba gaonush. After our lunch we continued creating content for BE Agafay and enjoyed laying next to the pool in the sun.

After spending some time at the pool, we decided to head back to our tent to get ready for dinner and the rest of our evening. We chose different dishes of the Mezze Platter than we had during lunch. After this I went for the chicken brioche together with grilled vegetables, this was very good! Joe had the cheeseburger with garlic potatoes, and we both loved the taste of that dish as well! We had a lovely time during our dinner, even though we were surrounded by more people, somehow the restaurant has a very romantic and intimate atmosphere. It feels like it's just you and your partner. Which is such a nice feeling. We stayed until the evening show, which was in one word: FAN - TAS - TIC! If you want to see more of the show you should check our Instagram for a preview:

We decided to get back to our tent and enjoy a hot shower and incredibly soft sheets after. A huge plus is the option to have an electronic blanket, which makes you sleep like a baby. Especially, during the night this is one of the things that makes BE a paradise to sleep at. It gets cold in the desert by night, even during summer. This additional feature will be a treasure for your sleep. Also, if you are visiting in high season, the room also has multiple air-conditions.

Day 2

After waking up the next day in a very nice and warm bed, it was a pleasant surprise that we didn't feel any cold at all. We enjoyed a hot shower again. However, why am I emphasizing the hot showers multiple times? Well, it's not common to have a hot shower that keeps warm all the time. Therefore, it is also one of the features that delivers the standards of a luxurious stay. As soon as we were ready, we walked towards the restaurant to enjoy our breakfast. A Moroccan breakfast with enough healthy choices. I loved the chia seed pudding and different types of jams. We were able to have a late check out, which definitely gave us so much more ease. Youssef was so friendly and kind during our stay. He made sure everything was okay whenever we had a request or question about anything. Youssef is such a deligate employee within the BE Agafay team. He helped us finding a taxi to the airport, made sure everything was handled. After already packing our suitcases, we did a short video -and photoshoot together with a quad ride. Driving through the beautiful senery in Agafay desert is something unforgettable. After our quad ride we decided to sit next to the pool again and enjoy the last rays of sunshine, before leaving back to Amsterdam.

Activities to do in BE Agafay

When staying at BE Agafay you can choose to do several activities, such as the following:

  • Quad driving: Book an quad tour through the hills of Agafay desert.

  • Yoga: Book a yoga class for you and your partner/family/friend, you can choose different time slots and enjoy the serene view while doing yoga.

  • Massage: What's more relaxing than a full body massage? Book your treatment and get your muscles to relax and your mind to feel completely free.

  • Buggy driving: Book an buggy tour through the hills of Agafay desert.

  • Camel ride: Book a camel ride and walk through the beautiful Agafay desert, this is even more special during sunset.

Additional options:

Did you know that you can also spend just an afternoon at BE Agafay? It's possible to contact the camp and let them know that your are interested in the activities they offer and would like to have lunch, dinner and book (some) activities. It's also optional to just enjoy the pool and book a 'poolpass' for the day. However, we loved immersing into the full experience and included one night of sleeping here and can recommend doing this instead of visiting just for a day.

Next week, I will share a new experience of another beautiful stay. Can you guess which one this will be?
