Riad dar Bayane: a beautiful gem in the heart of Marrakech

Updated: Mar 29, 2023

|| Riad dar Bayane: An aesthetically clean riad in the middle of Marrakech, Morocco ||

In January 2023 we were back in the beautiful city Marrakech, a city in Morocco covered in so many soft pink shades. It is without a doubt heaven for photographers. We continued to capture Beautiful Stays of Morocco, just where we left it of in 2022. This time we brought a visit to the beautiful Riad dar Bayane. If you are travelling to Morocco anywhere this year and still haven't figured which riad you should choose, well in this article you will read all you have to know about why this is an excellent choice as a stay for your holiday in Marrakech.

The concept

Riad dar bayane is a riad that is actually brand new established on the Moroccan ground. Did you know that the riad is officially open now for only 4 months. The fact that this riad is still quite that young is something that makes it extra special to sleep here, because everything feels squeaky clean and don't we all LOVE clean places? When entering this beautiful gem in Marrakech, you will notice how aesthetically pleasing every corner is. The details of the riad are just define. From the shapes of the doors, to the beautiful rotan lamps and gorgeous Moroccan furniture. This bohemian Moroccan interior is one true treasure to spend time in for anyone who wants to enter in a peaceful space after walking around all day in the buzzing Marrakech pink alleys.

The rooms

We have had a lovely partnership, with riad dar Riad dar Bayane and are pleased to share details of the room. We spend three nights in total in this riad and slept in the following rooms: The Suite and the Premium room. The suite was our favourite room, because of the space and beautiful interior. Our rooms got cleaned everyday and even had some clothes in the laundry. This is a service that's excellent, since we travel a lot and always find ourselves searching for laundry places. The premium room is a bit smaller, but also had a very nice atmosphere while staying here. Since we stayed here in January and it was a bit more chilly in the evenings, I am very pleased to share that the rooms are completely heated. I stayed in another riad in 2017, during December and there was no heater at all. All the rooms have either heaters and/or air-conditioning facilities, up to your preferences.

The food

Breakfast

I LOVE Moroccan breakfasts, they just have so much choice of multiple types of breads, jams, cheeses and fresh orange juice. This is definitely something I personally look forward to everytime I visit Morocco. The breakfast of Riad dar Bayane is made with love and tastes like sweetness in the morning. Do not hesitate to ask for more butter, sugar, cheese or anything else. The staff is more than happy to serve more food and drinks to you. Also, their tea was one of the best teas in Morocco we had. So tasty!

The services

When we arrived at Riad dar Bayane, we got a warm welcome from Nadia. Nadia equals 'Mon mere' (my mom) to me! She is so so so extremely sweet. My French isn't perfect, but we managed to have a great time with each other having conversations through Google translate. I can not express how much she is of a grand value to the riad. She makes your stay and time in Marrakech unbelievably good. Whenever I asked her if I could get a coffee or tea she would make it instantly and even bring it to our room. Her service and care is beyond! Also, I caught a cold on the day we arrived (probably because of the airplane air condition) and she made tea for us without even asking. I asked for a bowl and hot water and she came upstairs with more than that. Nadia will make you feel like you are at home and that is a very powerful value of this stay!!

The Location

Riad dar Bayane is based on an excellent location. With just a few steps you can enjoy wander around and find beautiful Moroccan stores with all kinds of oils, herbs, clothes and more. You will be close to the Jemaa el Fnaa, which is great, because around this area you will find multiple nice restaurants.
